COVID-19 Update

Dear Freeze Families,

At Governor Hogan’s press conference on March 12th, he declared a state of emergency and issued an executive order banning all functions over 250 people in size. This ban on large social functions is to last as long as we are in a state of emergency, and it is unclear how long that will be.

Based on this, we will be canceling this year’s banquet that was originally scheduled for March 28th. Those who paid for the banquet by check will have the option to have their check returned or destroyed as they have not been deposited. Those who paid by cash or paypal will either be refunded, or the funds can be held as a future credit on their Freeze account. Details on all refunds or credits will be communicated and handled through the team managers. When your team manager contacts you about this, please communicate to them how you would like your funds handled.

We received information today from PVAHA (our USA Hockey affiliate) that the 2020-2021 Fall CBHL tryouts are still being planned as scheduled. Our tryouts will be held April 27 through April 30 with specific times to be determined. The safety of our members is our number one concern, and we will be following all USA Hockey and CDC guidelines related to COVID-19. Please be aware that this situation is fluid and that there will likely be frequent updates and potential program changes. We will email any updates that we have as well as post to the Frederick Freeze website. We look forward to getting through these difficult times and seeing everyone back on the ice.

Thank you-

Frederick Freeze
