Polar Bears Spring Hockey
Welcome to the Frederick Polar Bears spring hockey team. The idea behind this is to give a platform of hockey to the players who want to continue their hockey season in preparation for the upcoming season. Spring hockey is comprised of the most driven and competitive players on the ice in order to maintain their skating, hockey sense, and skill.
Ages
We will be fielding 10U, 12U, 14U and 16/18U aged players. We are preparing for the future, and the Spring team players will play at the age group they are eligible for the upcoming fall season.
IN ADDITION:
The Frederick Freeze is proud to announce our inaugural year of 8U Spring hockey with the Polar Bears.
The Spring season will consist of 4 practices and one local tournament. This years tournament will be at St. James in Springfield, VA.
When and Where
All tryouts and practices will be held at Skate Frederick.
Tryouts for 8U will be on April 1, 2023 from 9:00AM - 10:10AM.
UPDATE: Tryouts for 18U will be on Monday, March 20, 2023, from 5:50 - 7:10.
Tryouts for 10U - 16U will be on March 23, 2023.

2023 SPRING HOCKEY
The Polar Bears Spring teams will attend two tournaments, each with three to four practices the two weeks immediately before the tournaments. The 2023 Polar Bear uniform will be the blue Frederick alternate jersey with matching socks. If you already own this jersey, you will not be required to purchase a new one. 2023 8U Spring Polar Bears

8U Co-Ed: A, B, C & Girls levels + 6U (one division). Four Game Guarantee. One Hour Ice Slots - Format TBD based on # of registered teams. Only local teams will play on Friday night. All games are played at The St. James Sports and Active Entertainment Center.
The practices will consist of the two weeks prior to the tournament, with two practices each week.
