The boys headed to Philly this weekend to close out their 2020-2021 hockey season. It was the one and only out of town tournament and will be one to remember for seasons to come. To say the boys bonded would be an understatement. The chemistry on the ice among the lines was contagious this weekend. The boys had one overall goal, to make it to the championship game. They succeeded by teamwork. Everyone stepped up and contributed something important during each game. Heading into the championship game, the boys secured three wins and a respectable tie with State College LA.

The boys ended up facing a local team during the championship game, but one they had never played before. It was a face off against two fierce CBHL competitors. The Howard Huskies would take home ice advantage since they were undefeated. The boys came ready to perform and played their best hockey game all season. Cycling the puck, shots on net, strong defense and stellar goal tending proved to upset the strongest team in the division. Freeze clenched the win, 7-1 over Howard LA and prevailed as the tournament champions. Way to go boys!
