Polar Bears Spring Hockey 2021 - TRYOUT SCHEDULE CHANGE

The Polar Bears Spring Hockey tryout schedule has changed.  Please Note the new times below.  

Tryouts will be held March 24th & 25th @ Skate Frederick.

Welcome to our fourth season of the Frederick Polar Bears spring hockey team. The idea behind this is to give a platform of hockey to the players who want to continue their hockey season in preparation for the upcoming season. Spring hockey is comprised of the most driven and competitive players on the ice in order to maintain their skating, hockey sense, and skill. We will be fielding Squirt (10U), Pee Wee (14U), Bantam (14U) and Midget (16U/18U) aged level players.

In preparation for the ’21-’22 season, the birth years will be as follows: Squirt team will be ’12 and ’11 birth year players, Pee Wee team will be ’10 and ’09 birth year players, Bantam team will be ’07 and ’08 birth year players and players at the Midget 16U/18U level will be ’06 and older birth years.

Tournaments

 April 23-25 in Aston, PA: Spring Thaw
 May 21-23 in Laurel, MD: Cherry Blossom Showdown

Practices

Each team will have 4 practices before each tournament. Two weeks leading up to each tournament, there will be two 80-minute practices per week. Total of (8) practices. Practice dates are TBD.

Fees

- Player fee is $400. This includes (8) total practices and two tournament fees.  Jerseys and socks will be available for purchase (jersey $49, socks $16).  *If you have already purchased a Polar Bear Jersey from last year, or if you own the Freeze alternate jersey, you will not be required to purchase a new one.

- 25% sibling discount

- There is a $15 non-refundable tryout fee required for each player due at the time of registration.
